It has been a great week for the programme this week! We
have set up our Facebook page – search ‘Erewash Community Connectors’ and our
Twitter feed @EVAConnectors. Please follow us to find local information and see
what our Connectors have been doing. We have registered 4 new Connectors this
week, to add to our first 2, registered last week.
It is great to see the
network of Community Connectors growing. I attended the Volunteer Organisers
Forum on Monday to promote the project and meet other organisers who support
volunteers in Erewash. It was the perfect opportunity for me to discover the
variety of different services that are active and doing great work in the
community. On Wednesday I met with Community Concern Erewash to find out what
great work they do across Erewash. I also attended a Thriving Communities
Celebratory event in Cotmanhay and heard of some fantastic projects that are now
established in the community. Finally, to end the week, today I have been
speaking to local businesses at Erewash Partnership Summer Networking Event.
