Here at the Volunteer Centre at Erewash Voluntary Action we are providing help for those in the community who may be struggling with tasks such as shopping and medication collections from chemists. Volunteers are also providing a friendly telephone call as no home visits are being carried out in present circumstances.

The office has never closed, open every day Monday to Friday until 3.30pm and volunteers have been carrying out tasks across the borough, without their help we don’t know what we would do so a huge thank you to them.

To date we have received over 530 referrals and have responded promptly to those needs.

The Shopping Project is still being provided via referrals from Social Services or Health Authority, people can refer themselves via the CV Response Team at Derbyshire County Council or call us on 0115 9466740.

The Home From Hospital Support Service is available for anyone being discharged from hospital needing some help or for anyone at risk of being admitted to hospital. Referrals for this service have to go through a central hub, call 01283 817417 or email home@dhfh.org.uk

If you wish to refer someone or have need of services yourself please call us for more information.
